Brains, Capital, and Politics Unite: Women from Diverse Communities Partner at the PGA National Resort to Create a New Healthcare Revolution

On January 10 & 11th, The Global Passion Projects joined forces with Harvard Global Health Leader Alumn, Jocelyne Campbell, golf pro Marisa Messana and community Mayors, Tomeka Butler and Weyling White to host an inspiring event at the PGA National resort in Palm Beach Gardens for the launch of the healthcare app, Mori.

The event integrated diverse leaders from health, technology, politics and sports for the common goal to leverage technology and science to elevate whole-body health and drive advancements in the healthcare industry.

Andrea Cartier Bartzen, founder of The Global Passion Projects, took stage to emphasize the foundation’s mission of tackling global challenges through collaboration and innovation. “By uniting the brightest minds in technology and science with investor and philanthropist visionaries committed to change, we are funding advancements that lead to longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives,” said Bartzen. “Partnering with Mori exemplifies our dedication to creating solutions that empower individuals and transform diverse communities and disciplines. We identify innovative companies like Mori for our community of investors so that they can drive change in the healthcare industry.”

Golf professional and Sports Illustrated speaker, Marisa Messana inspired attendees with a speech on the intersection of mind, body, and spirit health, drawing from her experiences on the golf course. “Golf teaches us the importance of focus, resilience, and balance – qualities that are essential to both our physical and mental well-being,” said Messana. She offered attendees golf swing improvements while highlighting the importance of physical activity as part of a holistic health approach.

The event also featured contributions from community leaders such as mayors Tomeka Butler and Weyling White, who discussed the impact of innovative solutions like Mori on their communities. “Global Passion Projects is making a tangible difference by supporting initiatives that directly benefit individuals and advance community resilience,” said Mayor White of Ahoskie, NC.

“This event showcased the transformative potential of collaboration between innovators and forward-thinking leaders,” said Bartzen. “Together, we are shaping a future where advancements in technology and science improve quality of life on a global scale.”
